Living a Dream
This is simply just a beautfiul picture of what we got to live by everyday for the last four months.
The Castle
Today was the first day that I finally took pictures of the castle and I really loved the sepia coloring with the sky and the flowers. It made this look like an ancient castle.

Lemon Tree
This lemon tree was in the garden outside of the Borguesie Museum in Rome and they have lemon trees all over Italy. This is very uncommon to find in our state because of our different climates.

King Tritan
These guys were all over in Amsterdam and I thought him posing with the bright clue coloring, the large amount of people, and the vast amount of pigeons made this picture really interesting.

The Beautfiul Horse
This horse was stading outside of one of the older mansions we toured while in Venice. It was fenced in ofcourse but I thought it was so beautiful with the shadow of the light and the graceful nature of the way it was eating grass.

Gondolas on the Water
I thought that the way the light reflected on the water next to the various gondolas was espeically romantic, in the city of romance.

Bouncing Water

This was one of the fountains outside of a museum while we were in York. I really liked the buildings in the background, the way the water was moving, and the person standing in front of it.

The ceiling of York Minster
This ceiling was so high and enormous. I was blown away by the colors and the size of this cathedral.

Below One Tiny Section of the Vatican
There was so much going on on the building of the Vatican and the surrounding pillars that it was really hard to get your barings. I really enjoyed having a tour guide to see all of this and get the history behind everything.

Shopping in Rome
This was one of the streets that were considered to be part of the shopping triangle in Rome. This street had stores such as Prada, Louis Vouitton, etc, and it was overwhelming how many people were walking around with bags from each of these stores.

The Mysterious Pathway
I thought this picture was very interesting and had a lot going on that all seemed to mesh together. The statues frame the pathway and is a good example of linear perspective. The way the trees frame the pathway as well and the center statue lining up perfectly with path in the background. It reminds me of the cover for the movie Pan's Labyrinth.

The London Eye
I found this picture to remind me of a city fair back in the states. The sun setting, all of the people in front of the "ferris wheel" and the sea gull flying up in the left corner. It almost reminded me of Santa Monica Pier. I had to get a picture of this as well because I never had a chance to see the London Eye up close while we were in London for class.

The Whomping Willow Returns
These trees were all over the countryside while I was on my tour and I had to take a picture of them because they are simply unique looking. It was such a nice and sunny day that it was really hard to take a bad picture.

Feeding Pigeons
In St. Mark's Square in the center of Venice, they sell pigeon feed for €1. I thought this little bou and his mom were so cute. I also found it interesting that the city actually pays for the feed and places birth control for pigeons in the feed to control the "poopulation," as they called it.

Jimminy Cricket
I saw this cricket while touring an old mansion in Venice. I hadn't seen many insects since I have been in Europe and thought that this shot turned out really well. I loved the shadow that the cricket cast on the stone and the vegetation in the background. It reminds me of Honey I Shrunk the Kids.

A Night in Venice

I loved the way the lights from behind the statue illuminated it. These statues were all along the water edge which made walking at night really interesting and beautiful.

Pantheon

The way the sun was shining through the ceiling of the Pantheon made this picture extremely uniqe. I just couldn't believe how long the Pantheon has lasted throughout time. Rome was one of the places I had always wanted to visit because of the history.

Shaking off the H2O.

These ducks were so cute and they were the first ones that I had seen in Italy. They swam up and shook off the water and it was really cute. I liked the water on the two sides of the rocks and the sun helped make the water that much clearer.

Window Sill

The residents in Venice had such beautiful flowers on their window sills all over the little alley ways. It was very much so what I had imagined Italy to look like.

Down Below!!

This picture was when I was in Venice on a tour through the hill-sides. The water was so clear and it was very shallow here. I thought that it was funny that there was bike in the water while looking at beautiful mountains and countryside.

Palace Gardens

I loved the way that the wind caught the water spout and sent it spraying. I thought the fountain in the center of the perfectly kept gravel pathway and the beautifully trimmed trees made this picture wonderful. The sun shining down on everything would almost make you forget that you were in London. :)

Venus de Milo

This statue reminds me of how excited I was to visit the Louvre museum. I have taken five years of French and was told about this gorgeous and immaculate place of treasures that never end and I finally got to see it. It was amazing and so fascinating to see the large glass pyramid in the front of the museum as well because of its fame from the film The da Vinci Code.

Crazy Tree

This tree was outside of the Hampton Court Palace in London. I just could not figure its structure out and thought it was quite uniqe. I really cannot explain it any further than that.

A Walk to Remember

While we were walking as a class to Buckingham Palace, there was a man feeding pigeons in the park. This just made me think of the countless number of films that I have seen that use old men feeding pigeons in the park as people walk by. Just people watching and relaxing, I had to get a picture of it.

Can't Quite Put A Name to It

These were some of the most interesting birds that I had ever seen. They had grey, black, and white feathers with bright orange feet and beaks. I thought they looked so odd next to the white swans and regular geese and ducks but they were so cute minding their own business and eating at the grass.

La Tour Eiffel

This is probably one of my most favorite pictures both to take and to have. I took it at night while it was sparkling. I have wanted to see the Eiffel Tower since I was a little girl and even more after taking my French classes. I had the best time of my life while in Paris and would live there if I could. I liked the way the street lamps lined up underneath it as well. It makes the picture look like an old movie especially in black and white.

Every 30 Seconds!

I liked getting a picture of one of the planes that flew by the Duke of Northumberland's house in Syon because we were told that they fly by once every thirty seconds. The dome shape of the building and the plane through the glass really gives the picture and interesting touch.

The White Swan

I think swans are so beautiful and they are really a luxury to see in Minnesota, at least where I am from, a suburb of the cities, so I had to take a picture of it swimming through the water. The swan had no problem having all of the people around in the park and would swim right up to us.

It's A Beautiful Day!!

St. Paul's Cathedral was absolutely amazing in the sense of both its size and being able to see in actual sunlight, which I hear is a luxury in London. There was no way to get the whole thing in the picture at once while this close up and capturing the feeling of its size at a low angle and the dome in front of the clouds made this picture turn out beautiful.

What A View!!

This was such a sunny and clear day that it was perfect for us to go to the top of St. Paul's Cathedral. I am usually afraid of heights in some circumstances but it was hard to not find this view breathtaking. Everywhere you turned was another fantastic view. This really made me appreciate London more than I had previously. It really was a beautiful city.

Paradise

This picture is of one of my facorite places on earth. I can't tell you how much I would love to live in the canary islands one day. I loved the little bit of the hotel swimming pool, the palm trees, the ocean and the pink flowers all fit together to creat such a magical looking place.
Priory
I thought that this statue really represented what this priory was like when it was still in use. I really like the way the statue is positioned, it looks so passionate and real.

Berry Bush
While we were at the priory, there was this bush with these really small berries on them that I thought had the most beautiful coloring so I thought it would be a nice touch.

Alnwick Townsfolk
I thought that I would add a photo of the town that I visit almost everyday. I took a picture of these townspeople as they were walking through one of the little alleyways that I go through on a daily basis. I have also visited the restaurant in the background and it was amazing food and desert.

Moooooo!
I really thought this picture was hilarious. These cows were pretty close to the wall near the walking pathway and they just stared at us. I tried to get a picture of them playing around but when I would move they would be still. It was really cute how they just stared right at us.

Spooky
This picture is kind of creepy to me and I chose it for my night picture because it spooks me out so bad and makes me think of the movie Blair Witch Project. The way the tree is lying there and the pitch blackness of the forest the deeper you enter.

Smile

I really thought this picture was cool. I liked the fact that you could see my reflection in the window along with that of some of the priory in the background. The blue sky just topped everything off as well.

Shake, Shake, Shake
This bird was very adament about eating whatever this was off of the ground. It looked like a small piece of bacon but he was shaking it so hard and not even paying attention to me while I took pictures of it up close.

Babe
This picture is so funny to me because these two sheep are just standing at the top of this hill watching our class walk by. They were no where near any other sheep and they just stare at you when you walk by. Whenever I see sheep it also reminds me of the movie Babe.

Looking Over the River

I wanted to use this photo because I liked gettting the scenery with the vegetation and the river. It also reminds me of one of the longest walks that I have ever taken.

Sunsets in Paradise

This was the sunset that we generally saw every single night. It didn't matter how many different pictures we took of the sun setting, we always saw the bright pinks and reds which was amazing color off the blue water. I thought this was beautiful while looking through the plants and canopy.

What I Miss About Tenerife

This picture is exactly why I had such a hard time coming back to England. We all had such a great time together and the weather was so beautiful every day that we were there. I miss the sun, the ocean, and the leisure. If I can go back one day, I will. I really liked the way I caught the light hitting off the ocean as well as the waves crashing in the background. This picture captures the dividing the image: horizontal shot as well.

Eve

I really liked this statue in the York cathedral. I didn't read the caption for it but it reminds of Eve with the serpent wrapped around the staff and her by the pot. I really enjoyed everything there was about this cathedral. The size of it, the windows with stained glass, the statues and the articulation of everything as well. It's amazing what they made and how things change over time.

Whomping Willow

I saw this tree while we were in York and there were a bunch of different looking trees like this. It reminded me of Harry Potter and the Womping Willow tree which I thought pertained to our trip to England since we are staying in the Harry Potter castle.

Doctor Please

I had to include this picture for my people picture. We met these British guys who were on holiday for their friend's bachelor party and all dressed up as doctors and patients. I took this candid shot and this random girl accidentally got in the picture. It was funny because no one was paying attention to my taking pictures of them.

Deep Blue

I thought that it was amazing that there were flowers in bloom in the middle of winter because that is impossible in Minnesota right now. I really liked the pretty blue color of the flower as well, it was so bright that they almost looked fake. I liked the close-up as well.

Rainy Days

It was raining this day and I thought this reminded me of the bonsai tree from the movie the Karate Kid and I took a close-up of it. I believe that it is part of the ground or a bench. I thought that it was unique in the sense that it was the tree and then rain drops surrounding it almost like a rainy day on a rainy day.

The Everlasting Dancer

I took this picture the first night that we got to the Canary Islands. This girl on the right knew every single little kids dance that there was. She was up on stage every single night that we went in the restaurant/bar/nightclub doing these dances. That dance floor brings back a lot of memories and I thought that it was cool that I caught the red lights and while they were moving.

Tenerife Volcano

I took this picture while walking to my room at our hotel in Tenerife. The volcano was so beautiful and always surrounded by the clouds. We never could figure out if that was because the clouds were so low or the volcano was just that high. It is a nice picture as well because you can see the way some of the buildings were situated as the hill rose toward the volcano.

Carried Out to Sea

While I was in the Canary Islands, I took a lot of pictures of the landscape as we were walking along the boardwalk to a restaurant. I took this picture on a little wooden balcony Look-out point that was on top of some cliffs and thought the mixture of the palm tree and surrounding vegetation along with the waves splashing on the rocks made for a great high angle picture.
