Hills in the Distance

I chose this picture for my landscape picture because I thought that Edinbrugh was so beautiful. The diversity of the land with the large hills, the sea, and variety of architecture really stood out to me.

Ceasar's Palace

I chose this picture because I am a really big fan of Greek mythology and thought that their structures were beautiful. This also reminds me of the excitement I felt when we finally got to Edinbrugh. I thought this picture turned out really well also.

The King of the Jungle

I chose this picture for my still life because there are statues of Lions everywhere in this town of Alnwick. It represents courage and it reminds me of what learned that a lot of royalty will use lions as their symbol and just change the colors because of it's meaning.
I used this picture for my people picture just simply because it reminds me of the fact that we really are in an entirely different culture than I'm used to. This style of clothing was everywhere in Scotland and is very different than what you would see in the United States.

The Sheep You Do Not Want to Mess With

This picture made it into my blog because I did not have a good experience with these sheep. Me and a couple other studnets wanted to take out our coordinator's dog for a nice little walk and we end up having to chase after her because she chased after the sheep. We ultimately got screamed at by a British woman and it was only the second week we were here.

Night Life

I chose this picture because it reminds me of the crazy day and night we had in Edinbrugh. We had no idea where our hostel was, everyone was so crabby from being so tired, and then we still ended up having a fun night together. I thought this old building was so pretty all lit up at night.

My New Home

I took this picture really because I still hadn't taken any of the castle and still needed an abstract shot so I thought it would look interesting to take a pitcure of the castle through and openeing in the bridge wall. I liked it enough to include because it kind of makes you feel like you are trapped but have a really gorgeous view. I kind of feel that way somtimes.

There's No Place Like Home

I took this picture while we were on the bus going through Edinbrugh. I was still really homesick and saw something American and got really excited so I took a picture of it. I actually turned to be kind of cool looking because of the people standing outside, the street sign and the reflection in the window. I put this in my blog to remind myself that home really isn't that far away. :)

Edinbrugh Castle

I thought this was a great picture to use for my low angle shot because it was right above where we walked in to the Edinbrugh castle. I wanted to use a couple of pictures from Edinbrugh because I had so much fun there and thought it was beautiful. This picture reminds me of having to stand out in the wind and cold with no jacket because the post office still has my package and wanting to just go inside the castle.

Hollowed Out

I found this tree stump while we were out walking around and I saw that it was hollowed out so I decided to hop up on it and look down inside. I thought it would be good to include in my blog for the high angle picture because of the different colors and the unique aspect of it having a hole in the center of it.
