The Park Bench

I liked the landscape of this picture and the park bench. I thought those trees looked like palm trees and it reminded me of warm weather because it was really cold the day we went to York.

Palm Trees

I liked the landscape of this picture and the park bench. I thought those trees looked like palm trees and it reminded me of warm weather because it was really cold the day we went to York.

Beautiful Day

I chose this picture for the architecture because there is a lot going on in this picture. There is the branches of the trees and red birck in front of the large cathedral.

Snowdrops

When Christine told us about the Snowdrop flowers it made me think of home and the fact that we hadn't really seen snow since we arrived in England. I got a close-up of them because she said that it reminds them that it is Spring.

The Big Red Bus

I think that the tourism and the public transportation in this country is amazing and wish we had more of it in the states. I thought this bright bus and the lady in the fur coat would be a great people picture. The fur coat next to the guy in the leather coat and then the big red bus.

Pigeons

The pigeons in York were all over the place and I actually have never really seen that many all at once. I thought the bush of flowers was pretty and the fact that the bird was so close made this picture exciting. I liked the shadow between the bird and the bushes as well, it helped make it more uniqe lighting.

Guitar Bench

This bench in the middle of Alnwick town central was again something that I just had not noticed before. Having to go to specific places and take pictures of certain images helps recognize all of the little things that I didn't notice before. I love music and this just reminds me of just sitting back and relaxing.

A Dingo

I was having trouble actually getting motion pictures that I thought looked decent and I finally got a good one that reminds me of a movie about Europe that I love. There is some fun made over how small the compact cars are in this country compared to the U.S. and this just made me laugh because it was so true.

York

I liked this picture for a low angle because I felt like I couldn't get the entire building in one picture anywhere that I stood. This was so articulate to see. I thought that you could see the angles and sharp edges of the structure and it looked nice in front of the blue background with the clouds.

Dragon's Lair

I chose to take this picture at a high angle because I thought that the dragon bench was kind of a unique trait for this small town of Alnwick. There are things that you wouldn't notice unless you paid close attention and today (1-31-08) was the first time I had even noticed this bench.
